Rating: DNF The Knife of Never Letting Go is a very popular piece of literature, at least on GoodReads, but the fact that I couldn't get through this - even on a read-along where I had far more motivation to read than I usually do - speaks for itself. Ness is an excellent writer, there is no denying that, but this novel bored me. I felt absolutely indifferent about the characters - I neither loved them nor hated them - and nearing the 75% mark, I was forced to admit that this book just wasn't clicking for me. I don't think the plot is slow, I just think it isn't all that intriguing. It presents an interesting futuristic situation, but my main issue arose when the protagonist, Todd, obviously knows the huge reveal but we don't. And it's just dragged to keep the reader interested. Only, obviously, I wasn't. Maybe I'll give Ness another try someday. Or maybe not. We'll see.A HUGE thank you to Jasprit for reading this along with me! :)
